I love tuning into the feeling-tone of a name. Whether it be the name of a person, a business, a project, a practice, an event, or a physical space.

Over the past 3 years, I’ve had THREE different website names. My first website ever was secretsauna . la - at the time my private practice was fully underground word-of-mouth… but when I wanted to open up my sauna to the word-of-mouth public, I needed a landing page with info.

Then came innerspace . la. As I started to share more about my practice online, which is oriented toward bringing people into deeper connection with their inner world, having the sauna be the focal point of the site title no longer aligned.

I really liked secret sauna and inner space!…but over this past year, 2024, as I’ve continued to go through my own metamorphosis, I wanted to give myself permission to spread my wings more into…well, the mystery.

I’ve spoken about this before in earlier emails - that even in my newsletter, I didn’t want to be boxed into writing solely about “what a craniosacral practitioner + psychedelic guide” would write about -

I wanted a website and platform that could evolve with me, as I explore different facets of myself.

and so…. mari.mu was born, and honestly I will not be surprised if this is my site for life. I mean, my literal name without any dot com needed?! MARI DOT MU?!

Where oh where will she go from here? We’re not sure, but her website is going with her, name intact.

SO.

When I was exploring what to name my January offering, a 31 day sacred pause from social media, I wanted a name that felt right.

My “rough draft” name was “Unplug The Grid, Quiet The Noise”.

I kind of cringe when I see that now, but hey, that’s the nature of the creative process - we gotta allow room for the twists and turns and the permission to create and delete.

…and then…

she came. the right name. from the liminal space between sleep and waking one early morning.

In that in-between space I was being met with the essence of the offering. I’m not even sure offering is the right word for it… I think invitation is more right.

the invitation to take a sacred pause from the infinite scroll, come back into your body and breath and present moment environment, and rest into a more clear space within your mind and being.

The field meaning your field of awareness. What you’re inviting into your space, to be impacted and influenced by.

What are you taking in? What is around you? What are you seeing, hearing, feeling?

So… ♡

the essence of Clearing The Field:

spaciousness, quiet, breathing room.

autonomy. choosing what we want in our fields.

…to let our thoughts have more room to unfold at their own pace, without the interruptions of what’s next on the screen.

intimacy. with ourselves! having space from the distraction machine to be able to hear the sacred whispers of our hearts. to feel our tender feelings…

…to feel the space that prompts us to connect more with people in real life…

to give room for our creativity to open, breathe, and expand.

Creativity isn’t just about making art - it’s about how we navigate our Experience of Being Alive.

Clearing The Field is a gentle container.

It’s a space to gather with peers who are tuning into their own fields, their own desires and their own intentions for this month of sacred pause from the infinite scroll.

It’s going to be very build-your-own-adventure. I will guide you through exploring your personal intentions for the month. You may choose to keep it simple and just stay-off-social-media and see what happens, or you may choose to deepen and become more intimate with what you’d like to experience in the newly open space.

There will be zoom calls if they feel supportive to you, and there will be a whatsapp community holding 2 groups within it.

• group 1: QUESTION OF THE DAY. Instead of plowing through a whole list of self inquiry questions in one sitting, let’s slow down, and explore one thing at a time.

• group 2: OPEN SHARE. A space to share what you’re experiencing! What are you noticing? What’s amazing? What’s hard? This is not a place to give advice unless its asked for, but. a place to receive encouragement, camaraderie and connection.

and let me be honest: The whatsapp groups will give you something to go check out on your phone while you’re off the sauce ;)

(I will instruct you on how to put the groups into the ‘archived’ section of your whatsapp so that your phone doesn’t ding ding and blow up with notifications from the groups, but gives you something to tune into when YOU feel called!)
